Ron Azzanni (the real one) and I have been the best of friends for years now, and I'm sure all the folks in his hometown of St. Louis will agree... he's a GREAT GUY! ALWAYS there to help out with "anything daylily", the guy is simply a HOOT! I chose this flower to name for him, because Ron is Italian... and quite "dramatic". Believe me, it's a very endearing quality with him though... and one I'm MORE than happy to try an emulate with this introduction in his honor!

FANTASTICALLY deep, rich, and clear... this big guy is quite proud, vibrant, and showy (just like Ron)! Scapes are divinely branched, and often branch again themselves (bifurcate)... offering plenty of spacing for a long-lasting show! The large and incredibly vivid green throat/dark self contrast is an ABSOLUTE "beacon" in the landscape garden... the most "noticeable" in the whole place! Again like Ron... to get to know him, is to love him!
