What a showstopper!

The flower of EMINENT DOMAIN is as bright as one could hope for... positively neon brick-orange petals, over bi-color yellow sepals. A very bright yellow strip adorns the petal midribs, for that final "I'm HERE!" look. I know that perhaps this particular flower look may not be as "articulate" in design as many others coming out these days... but DO YOU SEE what these flowers are ON?!?! Oh my GOD!!! I have so many plant and clump shots of this plant, I could show you a page of nothing but... but have somehow managed to pick just a few here...

I've two shots of the clumps in situ, in a bed of solid un-amended red clay... with a full northern exposure, planted 18 months prior. Planted double fans are already MASSIVE with heavy dormant foliage, and scapes that are themselves the size of most common daylily plants. In fact, I've found a good shot of the scapes against my arm... this photo is of 6 scapes, coming from just TWO FANS! Yes, you heard me right... this plant reblooms SO fast, that 2 mature fans can produce 6 bloom scapes at once! Have MERCY! On the final shot, my Sis Jane snapped me while "making panky" with this beloved wonderplant... in it, you can see that 50" (my chest) is merely an "average". Like all perennials, it's best the 2nd year from planting. That picture of me working, by the way, shows only five 5-6F clumps. Indeed, this plant will visually overwhelm whatever spot you plan to put it in... casting its "right", of EMINENT DOMAIN, over your garden!!!

Parent to the newer "Piece of the Action" (Owen, '14), "Trajan", "Ballistic", and "Willfred" (Owen, '16)... ALL of which have TREMENDOUS plant habit!
