Large, "open form" flowers are indeed my personal faves in the garden... they really offer good "foundation" when gazing from afar. This particular flower really fills this duty, with a VERY large green waxy throat... which repeats so perfectly on the sepals. The hot deep pink color of the flower is clean and fresh looking, especially during the very late season. The overall look is quite balanced... and stately... in the garden! Being a very late bloomer... it adds a LOT of great structural color, at a time when most others have finished up for the year.
