Description:

Named for a GREAT friend right here in Polkville, Bruce Martin. Bruce is quite a character... and a big one, too! Indeed, there's quite a few "remarks" one could say about 'ole Bruce... but the most honest one is: Bruce is about the nicest guy one could ever hope to meet. Being new to Polkville, Bruce and his entire family have really made me feel like a part of the community... always there to help, to loan me what I need to make things work, even to offer up his tractor to deliver brides in! He's quite handy with a sheet of metal too... making my big nursery sign (twice, the first one was stolen!), and my little garden medallions too! Bruce is "remarkable" all right... the kinda guy that anyone in their right mind, would look up to. Thanks for everything, Bruce! ;-)

This audacious new lavender is exquisite! Tall, large flowered beauty... in a very deeply saturated lavender is hard enough to find, but with a piercing green throat and wire gold edge? Divine! Lighter mauve eyewash is a really beautiful feature as well. All this in a very hardy dormant plant... could it be? Yes! Lavender is the very best color for clarifying seedlings, and with so many other positive aspects (size, height, plant habit, eyewash)... great breeder too!  Tall, makes a statement, brings a lot of joy to its neighborhood, has great kids... for sure, sounds like Bruce all right!  ;-)

Basic Attributes: blooms early to mid-season, reblooms, 3-4 branches, 18-24 bloom count, pod fertile, pollen fertile, dormant.

The pod-parent is (Grand Palais x Tooth)
The pollen-parent is Iowa Girl
