Description: At 6' tall (reportedly up to 8' in some locations, once established), and SUPER bright (and BIG!) "yellow chrome" flowers... this plant is DEFINITELY one of the MOST "DISTINCTIVE" of ANY EVER CREATED!!!

Al bred daylilies for the Michigan DOT to plant... their only request: "Make plants that people can appreciate when driving by at 70mph"... and this one definitely fit that bill! For a guy that is so well known for his giant creations (as a result of his "job"), he only registered 11 daylilies in his day (MDOT wasn't planning on labeling the plantings). Interesting that of the MANY he actually created, pressure was highest for him to get THIS ONE out to the masses of lily-lovers as his "flagship". It truly is just that, and an absolute staple for the back-of-the-border (or centerpiece!) in YOUR garden! VERY fair price for something SO unusual, and sell out every year during bloom season. It TRULY stands out!
