My Grandmother was a HUGE part of my life growing up. Though I don't think I'll ever outlive being her "Sugar Plum", I'm hoping that this gorgeous plant I've named for her will outlive me!

I wanted to name this flower for Grandma when it first started blooming. It must have heard me, because it's taken on many more of her characteristics since! Consistent, healthily rounded, and sweet as can be... uh huh... that's Grandma, all right! You could easily put a hurtin' on a smart-butted young'n with a scape of this beauty too, it's just as staunch as can be! Not that my Grandma would ever do such a thing, though I'm quite certain I deserved it a time or two!

Grandma did get a chance to see her flower, which I'm SO grateful for... but didn't live long enough to see her namesake get introduced... after 94 years, I think she grew tired of my antics! Not really true, as I loved my Grandma to no end... and am quite happy to be able to offer a really grand flower, in the memory of the many many good things she was not just to me... but to all who were touched by her.

This flower is actually a soft orange-peach blend, and exhibits the self color a bit differently depending on lighting. Wonderful flower substance and dense ruffling for an instantly reblooming dormant... great for northern gardens!
