Name a New Hybrid Daylily!
Several years ago, I named a star after my Grandmother through a service called the "Star Registry". The star, formerly known as something like "M-382A", now bears her name! It seemed like such a cool concept... but the thing is, I couldn't find "her" star up there now if you begged me to.Meanwhile, we've bevy of selected seedlings that indeed... are FULLY worthy of bearing a meaningful name! And unlike some far-off celestial rock, these can actually be appreciated in multiple gardens... year after year, for generations to come! Now THAT'S a MUCH better idea!
Naming new plants for memorial, loved ones, good friends that like to garden, events like Mother's Day/Father's Day or birthdays/anniversaries/special personal events... wouldn't you say that would be "slightly different" than a fruit basket?! Here's the "deal"...
Shown here are several prospects waiting for a name (click them for full description). If you see one that "fits the bill" for your naming, then add to your cart, and we'll begin working out the details! I will formally register the plant (bearing the name you desire) with the AHS, with you as "Co-Registrant". Upon payment, you will immediately receive ALL the cultivar that exists... healed/mature 3-5 fan clumps (# of which is stated in description) of the plant for your distribution to anyone you desire. Upon AHS approval of the name you've selected (8-10 wks), you will get the original registration papers. The entire process (ALL the plants that exist, registration, and shipping) is included (~$12-15 per mature fan!). Not bad, considering a new intro (bearing ANY 'ole name) is about $100-150 per fan... and you don't get "all that exists"!
